The GCPA provides foundational accounting knowledge and practical financial skills for entry-level professional practice. It is designed as a standalone qualification or as a structured pathway into the Master of Professional Accounting (Advanced) (MPAA).

Progression is subject to admission and credit approval. With all four certificate subjects credited, 12 further subjects complete the 16-subject master’s degree; the certificate is not an additional four subjects.

A recognised undergraduate degree or equivalent; alternatively, a related Diploma or Advanced Diploma plus three years of relevant work experience in the past five years.

Support accounting operations and financial record-keeping.
Analyse financial data and support reporting functions.
Manage accounts payable/receivable and bookkeeping.
Assist with tax preparation and compliance for clients.
