Dr. Samanthala Hettihewa
Dr Samanthala Hettihewa is currently a learning facilitator at Torrens University Australia and an adjunct academic at The Institute of International Studies. Previously she was a Senior Lecturer in Finance at Federation University Australia, has taught and researched in five countries (Australia, Canada, NZ, Sri Lanka and USA). She has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles (including highly prestigious ones such as Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Business Ethics, Small Business Economics and Health Population: Perspectives and Issues), many peer-reviewed conference papers, several university textbooks and case studies published by world renowned publishers. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a Fellow in FINSIA (the largest industry organisation in finance in the Australasian region), and an associate member of Financial Planner Australia (FPA). Dr Hettihewa’s research interests include: capital markets, corporate governance, microfinance, small business and regional economic policies, and business ethics.
