Mr. Marshall Wei – TIIS Acting CEO, With a Bachelor of English Language and Culture from Xi’an International Studies University in the year 1991, Marshall was working as a teaching assistant in the Faculty of English at Xi’ an International Studies University until 2000 when he went to study Master of Social Change and Development at University of Wollongong, Australia.
Working as an interpreter as a multilingual officer at Centrelink Australia for seven years, Marshall realised the importance of training qualified interpreters and translators to serve the needs of the global small village, especially the multicultural communities in Australia. Then Sydney Institute of Interpreting and Translating (SIIT) was established. Over the last ten years, SIIT has seen more than 10 thousand graduates with relevant accreditation, currently working in a variety of careers across the globe.
In 2016, Marshall initiated the journey for the establishment of a higher education provider: The Institute of International Studies (TlIS), which was approved by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) as a registered higher education provider in Australia.
With more than 10 year of experience in international education industry in Australia, Marshall recently joined TIIS as an Acting CEO to contribute to TIIS’s ongoing standing as a compliant higher education provider providing quality education to both local and international students.
