Online CPD for Australian financial advisers across the four mandatory learning categories.
All relevant providers (except provisional relevant providers) must complete a minimum of 40 hours of CPD each year, as mandated by the Corporations (Relevant Providers Continuing Professional Development Standard) Determination 2018.
At least 70% of the applicable minimum hours must be spent on qualifying CPD activities approved by the relevant provider's authorising AFS licensee. Select relevant TIIS activities with your licensee. Catalogue size is not a guarantee of approved hours or completion of your annual obligations.
Advisers working part-time for the whole CPD year may reduce to a minimum of 36 hours with prior written consent from their authorising AFS licensee.
Identify your required categories and obtain licensee approval for qualifying activities.
Browse the TIIS catalogue. Check each activity’s duration and approved category before starting.
Retain evidence of completion and track hours against your plan with your licensee.
CPD is continuing professional development, not a degree or an automatic academic-credit pathway.

Four categories have minimum hours. Your remaining qualifying activities complete the applicable annual total; confirm your plan with your licensee.
Stay up-to-date with financial products, strategies, and technical knowledge required for quality advice.
Enhance client engagement, communication skills, and practice management capabilities.
Understand regulatory changes, consumer protection obligations, and compliance requirements.
Develop professional judgement, ethical reasoning, and understand your obligations as a financial adviser.
The remaining qualifying activities bring the annual total to 40 hours (or the approved 36-hour part-time minimum). Qualified tax relevant providers must include at least 5 hours in tax (financial) advice within that total, not add 5 hours on top.
Financial advisers authorised to provide personal advice to retail clients under an AFS licence.
Qualified tax relevant providers who provide tax (financial) advice services — including at least 5 hours of tax (financial) advice CPD within the applicable annual total.
Compliance managers and practice leaders seeking to maintain their professional standing.
Licensees can use TIIS Online CPD as a structured program for their authorised representatives.
Maintain complete and accurate records of all CPD activities throughout the year.
Be prepared to provide copies of your CPD records to your AFS licensee upon request.
AFS licensees must update the Financial Advisers Register if CPD requirements are not met.
